When you first meet Jandin Thornton-Murray, one thing stands out: his ability to turn complex financial strategies into something simple, relatable, and actionable. As a Financial Services Professional with New York Life, Jandin partners with individuals, families, and business owners to help them protect, grow, and preserve their financial futures.
What makes his practice unique is a concept he calls the “Financial Blueprint”—a way of breaking down financial strategies so clients feel informed, empowered, and confident in their decisions. By combining New York Life’s long-standing stability with his relationship-first approach, Jandin ensures every client feels supported every step of the way.
From Hawai‘i to Financial Services
Jandin’s journey to financial services is as inspiring as it is unique. Growing up in Hawai‘i, he was immersed in the values of family, community, and perseverance. At just 17 years old, he achieved a remarkable milestone: being selected to play professional baseball.
That experience taught him invaluable life lessons—preparation, resilience, and the ability to thrive under pressure. Today, those same qualities drive him in his financial career, where he helps clients build confidence and clarity in their financial decisions.
“I wanted to create an impact that lasts beyond today,” Jandin shares. “Helping people protect their loved ones, grow their wealth, and preserve their legacy for the future is deeply meaningful to me.”
A Passion for Community
Beyond his work, Jandin is deeply committed to community. As someone with Hawaiian roots and married to a Filipina, joining PACC-GSA (Philippine American Chamber of Commerce – Greater San Antonio) was a natural step.
“Joining the chamber wasn’t just about business—it was about building meaningful relationships, supporting the Filipino-American community in San Antonio, and creating opportunities that benefit everyone,” he explains.
Through PACC-GSA, Jandin continues to contribute to a network of professionals who value culture, collaboration, and community growth.
Fun Facts About Jandin
He grew up surrounded by Polynesian culture and brings those values into his personal and professional life.
He’s a skilled cook and can whip up a mean Hawaiian-style BBQ, a favorite among his family and friends.
His favorite life advice, learned from baseball: “You will lose more at the plate than you will win, but it’s the persistence that makes you great.”
