Kerrville Flood Tragedy: How You Can Help Responsibly

The devastating floods in Kerrville and the surrounding Hill Country have left a deep mark on our hearts. As of July 7, 2025, local, regional, state, and federal agencies continue the difficult work of search and rescue. Hundreds of first responders are on the ground, reuniting families and bringing relief to survivors. The loss is staggering: 84 lives have been lost—including 56 adults and 28 children—with identification pending for many more. Ten Camp Mystic campers and one counselor remain unaccounted for.

To all those affected, the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce-Greater San Antonio (PACC-GSA) extends our deepest condolences and support. In moments like this, the strength and compassion of our community truly matter.

How You Can Help—Safely and Effectively

Kerr County officials have provided clear guidance on how the public can assist. Please follow these steps to ensure your support is coordinated and truly helpful:

3. Volunteer or Donate Goods—By Registration Only

If you wish to volunteer or provide in-kind donations, register first with the Salvation Army at the Kerrville Kroc Center:
830-465-4797
Please do not self-deploy or send unsolicited supplies.

4. Stay Updated and Stop Rumors

For accurate, real-time information, follow only these verified sources:

5. Keep Search Routes and Airspace Clear

  • Do NOT operate drones in or near the disaster area. A recent drone incident forced a rescue helicopter to make an emergency landing, putting lives at risk and removing critical equipment from service. Temporary Flight Restrictions are federal law.

  • Boat owners: Please stay off the Guadalupe River and its tributaries to allow search and rescue teams to operate safely.

  • Highway 39 (west to Ingram): Closed to the public; reserved for law enforcement and emergency crews.

Please Donate Today
